A Study of John
Throughout his gospel account, John invites us to walk with the Lord Jesus Christ as Jesus teaches, heals, restores, and performs signs, revealing his deity and relationship with the Father and Spirit. As an eyewitness to Jesus’ entire ministry, John meticulously recounts Jesus’ betrayal, trials, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection. His gospel is historical, theological, and transformational.
Ultimately, John’s purpose is that “you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).
This 10-session study consists of three days of weekly personal study that involves reading Scripture and answering observation, interpretation, and application questions.
The weekly teaching sessions supplement the personal study with broader theological principles, points of practical application, and insight as to how the Bible tells one cohesive story. Ultimately, the goal of this study is to help people know and believe in Jesus and be transformed through the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.
